50% Stamp Duty Rebate

Postby echoesian » Sun May 06, 2012 2:34 pm

I have bought my first apartment, already signed the offer letter with the legal fee financed. Since this is my first home, I'm entitled to 50% discount on the stamp duty for loan facility. Can I know how do I claim for this rebate please?

No I did not take up the My First Home Scheme nor any islamic financing scheme... I just taken a normal semi flexi loan from a local bank.

its not a rebate. its an exemption. conditions apply tho, purchase price must not exceed a certain figure

Yes, my house price is less than 300k, the question is how do I claim for the exemption?

I thot the 50% is on the SPA stamp duty? Or was it also on the loan stamp duty buy couple of years ago this was absorbed by the bank (believe until 2010).

if 50% off spa then speak to spa lawyer and if it is off the loan then speak to loan lawyer

Islamic loan stamp duty, does that still warrant for 20% discount these days?
